Checkout is the big tile on Home. The left side is the product grid with a search box; the right side is the Cart. It is built for a scanner-first counter: scan, scan, scan, Process payment.
Why it matters
Speed at the counter is where a small store wins or loses customers. Every scan also moves stock and records the cost at that moment, so your reports are right without extra work.
Key capabilities
- Scan to add. With Scanner ready showing, a scan drops the product straight into the cart. Scan again to add one more. The app tells you if a code is not in your catalog.
- Search products by name, or filter by brand and weight unit. Tap to add.
- Quantity on each line with plus and minus, and a per-line note if the customer asks for something special.
- Sold by weight. Products set up as loose items open Enter weight; the total is weight times the price per kilo.
- Cases sold by the piece. Open a case in Inventory → Open Units; the pieces you sell count down from it.
- Promotions apply themselves. When a discount or combo matches, the cart shows the saving. When several match, the best price wins.
- Near-expiry discount. If you set one, products inside the alert window are discounted automatically.
- Hold a sale. Park the cart with Hold, serve someone else, then Resume or Discard.
- Clear cart with a confirmation, so nothing is charged by accident.
- Customer name (optional) on the sale, printed on the receipt.
Good to know
- Checkout needs an open caja on this terminal and an internet connection. Otherwise the app tells you before you start scanning.
- Out-of-stock items ask for a confirmation before you sell them, so a wrong count does not stop a real sale.
- The screen locks after a period of inactivity; any staff PIN unlocks it.
