Create a percent-off promotion for a category

Run a sale on a whole category, like 15% off snacks. Once it is saved, cashiers do nothing. The discount applies by itself at checkout.

Before you start

• You are signed in as an admin. Only admins can manage promotions.

Steps

1. 1On the home screen, tap Promotions.
2. 2Tap New Promotion.
3. 3Type a short Name your staff will recognise.
4. 4Type the discount in Discount percent, for example 15.
5. 5Untick Store-wide (no restriction).
6. 6Tap Select products or categories…, search for the category, and tap it.
7. 7Tap Create Promotion.
8. 8Search for the name in the list to check that it was saved.
