Purchase Orders is a simple list of drafts: what you plan to buy from whom. A draft stays a draft until you receive it, and then it becomes the shipment record.
Why it matters
Reordering from memory means running out of the fast sellers and over-buying the slow ones. A suggested order from your own low-stock list takes two minutes and is right more often than a walk down the aisle.
Key capabilities
- New Purchase Order: choose the supplier and add line items with quantity and unit cost.
- Suggest reorder from low stock fills the order with this supplier's products that are at or below their low-stock threshold. Works while the line list is still empty.
- Save Draft and come back to edit the supplier or lines any time.
- Receive Shipment from the order when it arrives; you confirm quantities, cost and expiry and the order is marked Received.
- Delete a draft you no longer need.
