Set up the receipt and printer

Do this on a new terminal, after changing printers, and whenever the store name, address or footer text changes.

Before you start

• The thermal printer is plugged in, on, and installed on the computer.
• The cash drawer cable is connected to the printer if you use one.

Steps

1. 1Tap Settings, then the General tab. Fill in Store name, Address and Receipt footer text; add a Store logo if you want it on the ticket. Tap Save General.
2. 2Open the Hardware tab.
3. 3Under Terminal, give this station a short Terminal ID (letters, digits, - or _) and tap Save. Each terminal needs a different one.
4. 4Under Receipt Settings, pick your printer in Receipt printer. If the list is empty, the app uses the computer’s default printer.
5. 5Choose the Paper width that matches your paper roll.
6. 6Fill in Header line 2 (optional) and Footer message (optional), and tick the options you want: Show cashier name, Show customer name, Show receipt number, Bold totals line, Auto-cut paper after each receipt. Changes save as you make them; the Live Preview shows the result.
7. 7Tap Test Print and check the paper.
8. 8If you have a drawer, tap Open Cash Drawer and check it opens.
9. 9Under the Billing tab, set Tax rate (IVA %), tick the Enabled payment methods you accept, and tap Save Billing.

Check it worked

• Test print sent. and a readable ticket came out, with the right width and store name.
• Cash drawer command sent. and the drawer opened.
• A real sale prints a receipt automatically.
