Every sale, refund and stock movement is saved under the name of the person on shift. Clock in when you arrive and clock out when you leave, every day.
Before you start
- You have your own PIN. Never sign in with someone else’s.
- If you handle cash, you have counted your drawer float.
Steps
- Clock in: on the sign-in screen, tap your name and enter your PIN.
- Type your float in Drawer float (or zero) and tap Start shift. You are now clocked in and on Home.
- A manager can also clock someone in from Staff with Clock In, then verify that person’s PIN and float.
- Clock out: tap Staff, find your name and tap Clock Out.
- In End shift?, review Shift duration, Orders taken and Sales (payments), type your Closing cash count and tap Clock out.
- Tap Sign out in the sidebar (or Logout on Home) so the next person can sign in.
Check it worked
- After clocking in, the sidebar shows your name and since the time you started.
- On Staff, your row shows a Clock in time and a running Shift duration.
- After clocking out, your row shows a dash instead of a time.
If something goes wrong
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Incorrect PIN. Try again. | Enter it again slowly. If it still fails, ask an admin to reset it (see Reset a forgotten PIN). |
| The app opens Set a new PIN instead of the float screen | An admin asked you to change your PIN. Type a new one in New PIN and again in Confirm new PIN, then continue. |
| You signed out without clocking out | Nothing is lost: when you sign in again the app resumes your open shift. Clock out from Staff when you leave. |
| Someone left without clocking out | A manager can tap Clock Out on that person’s row on Staff. |
