Month-end reports export

Export the month’s sales, payment methods, refunds and inventory value for your accountant.

For: ManagerAdmin15 min

Run this on the first working day of each month, after the last register of the previous month is closed. Every report exports to Excel, PDF or CSV.

Before you start

  • Every day of the month was closed (see Close the day).
  • You have a folder ready for the files, for example one per month.

Steps

  1. Tap Reports.
  2. Open Product Sales. Set the date range with From: and To: (or the This Month shortcut before the month ends). Tap Export, choose Excel (.xlsx), PDF (.pdf) or CSV, pick where to save, and wait for Report exported successfully.
  3. Repeat for Payment Methods (cash, card and transfer totals), Refunds Register (every refund with reason and approver) and Revenue by Category.
  4. Open Inventory Analytics and export Valuation (stock value at cost), Shrinkage/Waste and Expiry-Loss.
  5. If you need the drawer detail per day, open Session View, pick each session under Select session and export it.
  6. Send the files to your accountant and keep a copy.

Check it worked

  • Each file opens and the totals match what you see on screen for the same dates.
  • The Payment Methods total for the month equals the sum of the daily Total Revenue figures.
